Sunday Outing December 7th

I am starting to take my oldest daughter out birding with me on Sunday. This is our first trip out. It was cold and snowy but we really had fun and she was really excited about seeing the ‘big’ pileated woodpecker.

Here’s what we saw:
Downey Woodpecker
American Robin
Northern Cardinal
Tufted Titmouse
White-throated Sparrow
White-breasted Nuthatch
Pileated Woodpecker
American Crow
House Finch
Carolina Chickadees
Song Sparrow
Red-bellied Woodpecker
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow
Large predator bird of some sort, too far to get a good look

Pileated Woodpecker calling (sorry I forgot to turn off the camera at the end)
