Sunday Outing – February 15, 2009

We had some really strong winds here the other night (45-60mph) and it looks like a port-a-potty got blown into a pond at this park. We could not resist taking our outing self photo in front of the park rangers pulling the potty out of the pond with a tractor.

What we saw:
Canada Geese
Mallards
Common Goldeneye (female)
American Robins
American Crows
Song Sparrows
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downey Woodpecker
Carolina Chickadee
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Eastern Bluebirds (3)
White-breasted Nuthatch
Brown Creeper
Red-tailed Hawk
American Goldfinch

It was cold today. 32 degrees. Loved seeing the Eastern Bluebirds though!
